+15,458 wishlists yesterday 🤯
We were anxiously watching the (first of its kind) Triple-I Showcase when the press coverage started rolling in. We had been planning and working towards this for weeks— and there it was. Our brand new trailer for our game Dinolords, among other fantastic indie titles from much bigger companies.
Take a look. I worked like crazy on this and I’m really proud of it.
‘Wishlists’ on Steam is really the most important metric when it comes to building and launching a successful PC game. Roughly 10-20% of all wishlists convert in week one sales. So this one number is a strong indicator of how viable a game might be at launch.
Steam’s algorithm also funnels more players to your store page when you have more wishlists.
If you’re a steam user, I’d really appreciate giving Dinolords a Wishlist and a Follow on the storepage here https://store.steampowered.com/app/2587620/Dinolords/
(I’ll keep saying this for the next year, so you might as well just do it 😂)
Dinolords is slated for early access release sometime next year, so we’ll have more press beats to hit and more wishlist milestones to reach (and a game to build!). But for now, I’m just really happy that the reception to this trailer has been this good. It validates what we’re working so hard on.
Here’s a late night shot I took when putting the finishing touches on the trailer. It was shot in-engine in Unity and cut in Final Cut Pro.
Sincerely,
Michael
